2016-09-29

ESET®, a global pioneer in IT security for more than two decades, today announced the service release of 2-factor (2-FA) authentication for businesses – ESET Secure Authentication.  The new version comes with multiple improvements with main focus on end user experience.

„We listened carefully to our customers about their pain points and focused mainly on user experience improvements, which will make 2-factor authentication more fluent and less frustrating process.  We believe, that the new ESET Secure Authentication will reduce the cases of users seeking ways to reduce the friction causing new vulnerabilities in at the expense of company data security,” said ESET’s product manager Vladimir Matovcik.

The new version of ESET Secure Authentication comes with easy, single-touch push authentication with smart watches support and multiple other enhancements including updated setup and installer, security and performance tweaks.

“All users has to do now, is to type his username and password as usual and ESET Secure Authentication will prompt him with push notification on their smartphone or smart watches. They will then confirm it or reject it, there is no other interaction needed,” added Matovcik.

The new version of ESET Secure Authentication with Push Authentication is now available only for Android devices.
