Yes, Point 2 View works in both Windows and Macintosh. Here is the system requirement.

You do not need either of them to use Point 2 View as a generic webcam. Point 2 View uses UVC (USB Video Class) driver that is available by default in the OS. However, you need P2V Software to access advanced features such as snapshot taking, image adjustment, and full-screen viewing.

I cannot see the video images in P2V Software or a video-call application.

Please check the followings:

•   Only one application can display video images from Point 2 View at a given time. You will need to turn off the other application that is showing the video images.
•   Please turn the application off, reconnect Point 2 View to your computer, and then turn the application on again. For some applications, the webcam needs to be activated beforehand.
•   (Windows) Make sure your computer's display adapter driver has no problem. Open the Control Panel and go to System > Hardware > Device Manager. If the Device Manager indicates the display adapter driver has a problem (even if it seems to work fine), please reinstall it.
