| IPEVO Kaleido 7 Wireless Digital Picture Frame Review |
 |
I think the K7 is a remarkable piece of hardware. It is attractive, functional and excels at the task of displaying photos beautifully. The wireless feature is wonderful and turns the frame into a window on the world, or into your archive of photos on your local computer. One thing is for sure, your photos will look gorgeous, as will the frame itself, wherever it’s displayed.

With the Kaleido R7, it doesn't look like a picture frame to begin with...it looks like a monitor. It's sleek and modern. And while we don't live in what would be considered a "modern" home at all, it somehow fit in perfectly. We actually used it for Owen's 6th birthday party to display pictures of him growing up. The rest of the time, it got moved around to different spots, playing a constant visual rotation. The ease of use is what stood out most for Will. Within minutes he had our pictures displayed - not just from our computer's photo albums, but also from our favorite photo sharing websites.

It can display RSS feeds and photos from Flickr, Picasa, folders on your computer, and even Lightroom. The device is also PC and Mac compatible, with a sexy design and a screen with orientation that’s adjustable, allowing for either landscape or portrait viewing. The device has a lot of cool features, including transitions, like one would expect with a presentation or slideshow. Overall, I would say this is an excellent display screen for the living room or the office. One of my friends borrowed the screen for a greeting table at their wedding and it was a huge success.

| Ipevo Kaleido R7 |
 |
The Kaleido R7 is an attractive frame for dwellings with décor that’s more modern than traditional, though it seems odd that a frame that looks so state-of-the-art lacks audio and video support. But its image quality is very good and its software is a breeze to use.

| IPEVO KALEIDO R7 - Got pics? Why not stream ‘em? |

Generally, very happy, pleased, and glad that a company was able to design a product with a plethora of features without letting it get overly-complicated and difficult to use. This is the ultimate photo frame for ANYONE: If you just feel comfortable plugging in that SD card and doing it the old-fashioned way, go right ahead. IPEVO has created a photo frame that I have not seen available ever on the market, they have certainly raised the bar with the Kaleido R7.

The Kaleido R7 itself is a very nicely designed gadget. It is modern, elegant and non-obtrusive, which is nice since its primary function is to focus on the photos it is displaying, not the device itself. The functionality is great with lots of local and internet connectivity options available, and it is not solely confined to photos, it can handle text RSS feeds as well. The display is sharp and bright, and the fact that the screen itself can be rotated vertically or horizontally adds to its utilitarian design.

Every once in a while, we see a device with one feature that makes it stand out from the pack. The IPEVO Kaleido R7 Wireless Digital Frame is one such device. The Kaleido R7's sharp display, which can rotate 90 degrees, shows full-screen images in landscape or portrait mode and automatically adjusts the image to match the screen orientation. Portrait orientation isn't revolutionary, but the R7's rotating display is the first of its kind to pass through the PCMag Labs.

| IPEVO Kaleido R7 Wireless Digital Frame Review |
 |
I think it’s fair to say that the vast majority of us have abandoned our film cameras for digital cameras. Why is it that so many of us bent on printing our pictures onto physical pieces of photo paper? This creates an unnecessary strain on the environment when the much greener option of a digital picture frame is so affordable and so easy-to-use.
The IPEVO Kaleido R7 digital picture frame is immediately an eye-catcher, because it doesn’t look too conventional with its asymmetrical design. It’s not a regular picture frame digitized; it’s a lifestyle piece that was designed with digital content in mind from the beginning. Oh, and it’s quite the looker to boot.

The Wi-Fi-enabled frame not only streams my personal photos from my Mac/PC, but I can also stream custom feeds from the likes of Flickr or Picasa, and get my news fix with RSS feed streaming. I was never a fan of digital picture frames until the Kaleido R7.

| The Best Digital Photo Frames to Showcase Your Pictures |
 |
These days, digital photo frames do a lot more than simply showcase your memories. In my tests, the Kaleido had very good detail retention in midtones, and well-exposed pictures looked dynamite on the matte screen. I liked the Kaleido’s intuitive menu operation and power on/off interval settings, and found the Wi-Fi connection simple to set up.

| Review: IPEVO Kaleido R7 |
 |
The IPEVO Kaleido is a no-frills photo frame that looks great and works exactly how you would want a dedicated photo frame to work. The interface is simple to use and almost all controls can be handled through the remote, touch-sensitive device buttons, or through the included IPEVO software on your computer.

| Another Look at the Kaleido R7 Digital Frame |
 |
I was very impressed by the new digital photo frame that IPEVO released at the show, called the Kaleido R7. A few factors play into why I’m so smitten by this thing. First, look at it! It’s beautiful. Second reason that I was so taken with the Kaleido R7; because its function is also so innovative. The frame is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing you to sync and stream your photos with albums on your Mac or PC (using the bundled EyeStage content management software), or from your iPhone, Windows Mobile-complient smartphone or straight from the Web.
