1.  
The FR-33.2 phone cannot be detected by computer.
If your computer is unable to automatically detect FR-33.2 phone when plugged into computer's USB port , you can use the following method:
•   Unplug FR-33.2 phone USB port.
•   Re-insert FR-33.2 phone USB port to another USB port.
•   After re-inserting, computer should be able to detect FR-33.2 phone. If not, please continue to following steps:
•   Click on the desktop computer "My Computer" right-click and select "Properties"
•   Click on the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" tab after select Device Manager
•   Click on Device Manager option, choose "Run" under "Scan for hardware changes" to re-run the hardware scan
•   After scan, your computer should be able to properly detect FR-33.2 phone.

Are there sound recording functions? What is the difference between one-way and two-way sound recording?
FR-33.2 has in-built recording functions.
Apart from using FR-33.2 as a one-way voice recorder, you can also record a two-way conversation, the difference is explained below:
•   Two-way recording: When you are having a conversation on Skype, you can use the recording function in FR-33.2 to record the entire conversation to capture the voice from both sides. The recording function works not only in Skype-to-Skype calls, but also for Skype calls to mobiles, landlines and international calls.
•   One-way recording: Use FR-33.2 as a high-quality microphone to record and produce sound files, for use in podcasts or voice notes and other applications.

After connecting FR-33.2 to the computer, why is there audio output from the speakers but not the handset?

If there is no audio output from Skype coming from FR-33.2, please launch IPEVO Control Center and select the Sound Settings tab. Under the Skype Audio Devices panel, change the Audio Input, Audio Output and Ring tone settings to FR-33.2 and click on the OK button to confirm the settings.

When FR-33.2 is connected to the computer, why are there problems with the audio output from the speaker when running other software or programs?

Please open IPEVO Control Center and select the Audio Settings tab. Under Windows Default Audio Device link, set your computer sound card as the playback device and click OK. The audio output from the software or program should return to normal.

How do I switch off the ring tone on FR-33.2?

Launch IPEVO Control Center and go to the Other Settings tab. Change the ring tone type to Silent and press the Close button.

My computer cannot find the device after I plug in FR-33.2, what is wrong?

If your computer is unable to detect the device after you after plugged FR-33.2 into the USB port, you can use the following method to let your computer locate FR-33.2


•   Unplug FR-33.2 from your computer’s USB port.
•   Plug FR-33.2 into a different USB port and see if your computer can detect the device (if you are still having the same problem, then please precede to the next step).
•   Right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop, and select Properties from the pop-up menu.


After selecting the Hardware tab, click on Device Manager



In the Device Manager window, choose the Scan for hardware changes option in the Action menu to proceed with a new hardware scan.



After the process is complete, your computer should be able to locate the FR-33.2 handset

When free.2 control panel is launched on my Mac, the message “The application free.2 quit unexpectedly” is displayed on the screen.
This is possibly due to particular system fonts that have been removed, or are missing. Please ensure that your computer has “BiauKai” or “Apple Ligothic” font by checking your Application/Font Book.
•   If both of these fonts are missing, then you will need to download and install either the “BiauKai” or “Apple Ligothic” font. Both should be provided with your operating system, although it is possible that other applications may have removed these standard fonts to improve performance.
•   If either of these fonts is disabled, then you will only need to change the setting so that they are enabled.
