Getting Started
Please set a password first before using. The password setup wizard will appear automatically after connection succeeds.
The setup wizard will guide the setup process with prompts like the ones listed below:

The password setup wizard will appear automatically after connection succeeds. Please set a name for the Device, password and hint. Then, press "Set". |
* If the authentication screen does not appear, please open "TOOL_HDPNC_HSU" from "My Computer".

At this screen, press "OK" again. The setup will then be completed. |

Connecting to Computer
Every time this disk drive is connected to the computer, the correct password will be required to remove the password lock.

* If the authentication screen does not appear, please open "TOOL_HDPNC_HSU" from “My Computer”.
* After that, you may just follow the prompts from the setup wizard to complete the required setup.

Maintenance Information & Things to Note
If this product breaks down during normal use, "Version 2 Singapore Pte Limited", as I-O Data’s Exclusive Distributor, will repair or replace this product free of charge at its discretion within the designated maintenance period. Version 2 will provide limited maintenance for this product for a period of 3 Years from the date of purchase.
1st Year: Entitled to 1-to-1 product exchange.
2nd & 3rd Year: Covers only labor costs. Replacement parts costs will be bearable by customer.
When requesting refund or repair for the product, the customer must at the same time present the following:

Green Warranty Seal (affixed on product box and to present together with full package including box) of Version 2 Singapore Pte Limited. |
If the proof of purchase cannot be provided, the customer may pay SGD$30 as inspection and maintenance fees. An additional 12 months of maintenance period will be provided. |

Point to Note about Warranty: The customer shall not make unauthorized repair, modification or disassembly of the product device body. If it is discovered that unauthorized repair, modification or disassembly has been done to the product device body, the related maintenance shall be deemed null and void. The related maintenance does not include damages caused by misuse, negligence, and accidental or malicious damaging.
Important Information from I-O Data Manufacturer

For the time being, I-O Data is only providing maintenance service for the regions where the product is sold. Thank you for your understanding. |

The product maintenance scope extends only to the "hardware" body itself. The "software" and other consumables that come with the product are not included in the maintenance scope. |

Under no circumstances would I-O Data be responsible for any data losses or business losses of the consumer caused by either the product or its accompanied "software". |

Pertaining to factors of natural disasters such as fires, floods and extreme temperatures, human factors of carelessness such as dropping from a height, impacts, pressure, fire burning and water immersion, factors of inappropriate voltages applied and misuse contrary to guidelines in the manual, factor of anti-seal tampering damages, and factors of product dismantling or other malicious damaging, the product will be given neither maintenance nor compensation. |
Things to Note during Use
After 5 incorrect inputs of password, a re-connection is required before further attempts can continue. But regardless of how many times re-connection takes place, as soon as the password is entered incorrectly for 100 consecutive times, the disk drive will be completely locked. During such a situation of complete lock, the disk drive must be initialized before it can be used again. (The product provides an initialization function: After plugging in the product but before inputting the password, the user can right click on the G letter icon.

| The user needs to press the English word "FORMAT" to confirm before initialization can begin. |

| After the disk drive is initialized, the password and all saved data will be completely deleted. |
|

| Without the correct password, the password settings cannot be changed. In such a situation, the disk drive must be initialized before it can continue to be used. Please repeat the disk drive reset (i.e. format) procedure above. |

When the Power light is flashing, please do not re-configure or switch off the device because it may prevent normal operation and cause all data to be lost. |

Before changing the computer status to Standby / Log off / Switch User / Restart / Shutdown, please first confirm that this disk drive has already been removed. |

Please do not use a USB cable that did not come with this disk drive because it may cause this disk drive or the computer to break down. |
* We seek your understanding that the Exclusive Distributor, "Version 2 Singapore Pte Limited", will not provide any technical support or compensation for issues such as customers losing their data and passwords.
